Join Urban Breath Yoga instructors Laurie Brockhaus and Stacy Broussard on a journey in paradise that will lead you toward balance and bliss!
Guided by two experienced and nurturing instructors, you are sure to find your center through the contrast of movement and stillness. Laurie, a long time practitioner and instructor of Vinyasa flow, will share her passion for graceful and dynamic movement that will awaken your mind and body each morning, leaving you mentally and physically prepared to explore the beauty and excitement of the island. After your fun in the sun, Stacy will lead you in a gentle and supported practice, in which the stress and tension of everyday life will quickly melt away. This restorative practice, infused with hypnosis and visualization, will open your body and quiet your mind so that you may experience the peace and light within yourself.

Laurie discovered yoga in 1998 and fell in love with the practice after her first deep savasana. Drawn to the physical and mental clarity she found in the practice, Laurie began practicing asana regularly and exploring yogic philosophy, and yoga soon became an integral part of her lifestyle. Laurie earned her 200-hour yoga teacher certification in 2004 and since then has regularly taught both children and adults, from beginning to advanced students, in studio and community settings. Laurie also holds a Master of Social Work degree and has researched and presented on the benefits of incorporating yoga techniques in mental health therapy. Laurie teaches strong, yet playful, Vinyasa flow classes, in which she encourages a fun and safe space for students to explore movement and creativity. She hopes to guide students toward self-awareness and acceptance by helping them find their own path and pace in yoga.

Stacy began the practice of yoga when she was just 11 years old as a way to remain fit and flexible. As time passed, she realized that the practice of yoga extends far beyond the physical and awakened to a deeper part of herself. In 2006, Stacy decided that she wanted to devote her life to helping others find a calm and joyful way of living and attended the Yandara Yoga Institute to earn her 200-hour yoga teacher certification. Soon after returning from her training she began teaching at Urban Breath Yoga where she has now taught over 1000 group and private classes. In 2009 Stacy became certified in hypnosis and enjoyed how it had the ability to amplify the benefits of yoga and meditation. She incorporates hypnosis into her classes to take her students deeper into the mind-body experience, allowing them to open to their power within.
